VECTOR WORK
WHERE ART MEETS DESIGN
From simple vector work for logos, 2 color designs, and silhouette type pieces, to full blown advanced vector illustration work, I have a personal love for working with vectors. I have done numerous projects for many clients including clothing design, merchandise design, car wrap art with vectors, print design, along with logos.

This section is distinct & outside of graphic design work, because it more focuses on vector in an artistic & graphic design blend in a more mix media type usage. Along with artistic directions of course.

Nothing is listed in any particular order, but picking out pieces among the numerous pieces to list here as a portfolio piece.

Feel free to look around, and if you like what you see, feel free to head to the contact section.

LEVELUP Larry has been an on and off client for many years. It has been so long, that I am not entirely sure when we started to work together. I have done extensive work for Larry, along with Vector art, UX design, entire animations, short film in pixel art, clothing design, Broadcasting effects, the list goes on and on.

LEVELUP Larry is a partner streamer on a platform known as Twitch. A company for live streamers, along with the company being owned by Amazon. Larry is a great client, and his team, and working with him has always been a pleasure and I will continue to do work for him as its needed.

For this particular section, I will show off some shirt designs, along with a month long project to recreate the continent of Kunark from the classic MMORPG, Everquest. The map I created was a recreation with the concept of it being a "remastered" type project for use on Larry's stream.

The map itself is very large, and every building has details, each mountain a vector, and all key locations are marked like the original. The original map was from a different era in PC gaming, as it was one of the First MMORPG's to ever come out, so finding detailed maps or updated/HD versions don't exactly exist. (see right for example).

The Buildings were actually made in Blender, using 3D polygon modelling and a bit of simple shader magic and lighting, then recreated in vector to give everything a more cartoony and simple feel.

This move to vector work was to bring the quality of the stream up to par with other streamers on the platform, and to make Larry's stream stand out much more in the space, as other people in this niche category were not doing what we were creating on his channel.

As you can see, I kept the 3d models fairly simple, and kept the core details to just the overall shape of the model to then recreate in vector using Inkscape as the program of choice.

Over time as I built the file up, we ran into some issues. In the beginning, I was handling all the vector work in 1 file... yes, you read that right. thousands and thousands of points, line weights, curves, color underlays, etc. had jogged down the file to a grind just to pan across the document to work in areas.

I had to pull pieces out and work in separate documents, and then migrate them back to the main file. I learned a lot with this project, along with what I would do different next time, and approach many of the tasks with a quicker workflow overall.

MY VECTOR ART PIECES
My vector pieces were used for various projects. Most notably, my pursuit and passion for making really cool wearable pieces. This includes hoodies, shirts, embroidered patches, stickers, mousepads, canvas pieces, along with many other applications that I used them for.

With vector work, I love the curved and rounded lines, the solid block out colors, and the cartoony & stylized nature of the style.

This has become my go-to medium for creating pieces for clothing design and merchandise design as well. Coming from a pixel art background in the digital medium, they share very close characteristics when it comes to approach. You always want to keep your colors minimal, consistent, and you need to use some particular tricks to achieve specific results in the their respective mediums.

Again, this is not all of them, but just some examples of the better work I have.

In some circles, this is considered "art" (Also available in my store)

VARIOUS VECTOR PIECES FROM PAST CLIENTS
These pieces are fairly mixed, assorted, and have been done at some point in time. I have done so many vector pieces for clients, friends, etc. that It is hard to figure out when I did them, and where they are on my timeline.

Either way, take a look, and see if this is the sort of style you are looking for. All my vector art pieces can be used for numerous applications. This can be large format printing such as car wraps, large banners, along with canvas printing, DTF & DTG applications as well.

There is so much more that I've done, but these are a general idea of simple to complex design when it comes to vector illustration.

I am always open for design work in this area, or even for Brand & Merchandise design. The possibilities are endless with this versatile medium, so if you are looking for this kind of work, feel free to click the button below.
