THE ARTIST
ARTIST // DESIGN // DEVELOPER
HEY ITS ME
Born out of the city of Toronto, Ontario in the great white north of Canada.
I am not sure where my artistic beginnings started, but I played a lot of video games growing up, and was raised by a Nintendo Entertainment System.
This got me in the mindset that I just wanted to make video games, and want to get involved with computers as well. My earliest memories are Super Mario 3, Legend of Zelda 2, The Adventures of Link, and Megaman 2 really stand out to me as titles that hold the most weight.

I think for the longest time, even remembering when I was 13 years old, I was working on a Pentium 2 computer, and working on indie game projects doing UX Design, pixel art, and tileset work for an online game. I was working in Paint Shop Pro, and some of the earliest versions of Corel software and early Photoshop.

As of today, I have evolved into a formidable designer & technical artist with a wide range of skillsets.

I love the idea of thinking outside of the box, and approaching projects with not only professionalism, but also a "punk rock" mentality when working on things. I love to try new things, and explore daring ideas that are outside of the normal "kitchen sink design" concepts. I was experimenting with AR tech before it became an industry race to get in on this new idea of using QR codes to create animated and dynamic advertisement and design. This is just an example of how I approach work altogether.

I think working in the creative field now as a professional does reward me the freedom to explore new ideas, and it keeps me constantly looking at things in different perspectives and exploring new frontiers with my clients to not only make my work stand out, but make their brands and products stand out more than their competitors. I think its important that styles, design trends, and marketing constantly evolve, as it starts to look very copy/paste out there in the world. The idea of using game engines to do cost effective advertisement and cinematic experiences was also a very early idea of mine, which is why I took the time to learn the fundamentals of the Unity Engine, and Unreal Engine. This is also why I have over 7000 hours in Blender 3D alone.

I think its important for designers to think outside of the box, not only to stand out in the field, but to be able to offer their clients and customers new ways to seen by potential customers.

I feel like I have grown and keep an open mind for growth as well. Utilizing new tools, AI, new ways for efficiency, etc. It not only helps cut costs down, but also keeping the client happy on time tables over all.

Like all artists, I just want to create and do what I love. So here I am, out in the world, showing as much as I can to find those people who my art is for, and what my design services are for. I think the mix and mindset I keep is why I have many return clients, and some have become friends over the years as well. Not everything is just the bottom dollar, sometimes you can find solid connections and friendships in this industry as well.

I have some strong areas of focus. 3D Modelling & sculpting is a huge focused medium for me, along with pixel art. Another fine focus from my studies in graphic design, is my ability to work with vector's effortlessly, while combining the use of 3D, mix media, etc. to convey and get ideas across. This has helped me to branch into other mediums of creativity such as clothing & brand design, print art, and product design. Versatility is key, and efficiency is the practice overall.

As I grow, I will most likely pick up more skills, new concepts to convey brand identity, and just making cool stuff overall.

The future is open though for me. I am opening up my skillsets to clients, businesses, game companies, along with brand's, merchandise creation, and a few other ventures including my new found side project of building my own app. We will see where this all takes me over all. Thanks for reading, and taking the time to find out what im all about. I like to think I am very easy to work with, and easy going overall. I never want to forget that I am an eccentric creative type, and how I approach business does carry professionalism, but also an easy going attitude as well.

I look forward to working with you.
