I was neck deep into Altered Carbon when I did this, but it also has influences from the graphic novel Transmetropolitan, Neuromancer, and snow crash. I thought of the idea that in the future, we will have solved mortality. I also know how people see anything that is new, or inhuman, could potentially be a threat to that condition. I think symbols of death will be more, and more prominent and an object of social disagreement due to people looking for it in the future. The amount of variables weighed in today's society for a future society that cannot die, I think will have extreme reprucations on how we look at life and death. This piece was made as a symbol of worship. a worship of the end, and end of life, extistence, etc. nothing downloaded, nothing uploaded. Natural death.
